
New Delhi,: Devotees and tourists will soon get a golden opportunity to embark on a spiritual and cultural journey, as IRCTC has announced a special Bharat Gaurav Yatra Train that will cover four Jyotirlingas and the Statue of Unity. The nine-day tour will begin on October 25, 2025, from Amritsar, offering a blend of pilgrimage and heritage travel.

Boarding Points Across Punjab, Haryana and Delhi
Passengers will be able to board the train at multiple stations including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonipat, Delhi Cantt and Rewari. This wide boarding facility is aimed at ensuring maximum participation from devotees across northern India.

Sacred Jyotirlingas and National Landmark
The itinerary includes visits to Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar in Ujjain, Nageshwar near Dwarka, and Somnath in Veraval — four of the twelve holy Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. Along with these, pilgrims will also get the chance to visit the Dwarkadhish Temple and the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, the tallest statue in the world dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Facilities and Packages
The special train has a capacity of 762 passengers, divided into Economy, Standard and Comfort classes. The tour package includes onboard vegetarian meals, accommodation, transfers, sightseeing, travel insurance, and security.
Fares range between ₹19,555 and ₹39,410 per person, depending on the category.
Economy passengers will stay in non-AC hotels and in some cases travel locally via auto-rickshaw.
Standard and Comfort passengers will be accommodated in upgraded facilities with better transfers.
However, monument entry fees, personal charges, and tips are excluded from the package.
Spiritual Tourism on the Rise
IRCTC is promoting this Yatra as a one-stop spiritual and cultural tourism experience, combining ancient Jyotirlinga temples with a modern national monument. Officials note that the demand for pilgrimage travel is booming in India, and this unique itinerary is expected to attract large numbers of devotees from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.
