In Adityapur’s M-Type area, on the outskirts of the city, the pandal set up by Praveen Singh Seva Sansthan has emerged as the biggest crowd-puller so far. Organisers said that anticipating heavy turnout in the coming days, many devotees are visiting early to avoid long queues and heavy rush.
In Sitaramdera’s Tuiladungri, an eco-friendly pandal has been designed this year, drawing attention for its towering idol of Goddess Durga. With an aim to promote environmental awareness, natural materials such as bamboo and clay have been used in place of plastic. CCTV cameras have also been installed to ensure security for devotees.
Meanwhile, in Chhota Govindpur, the grand pandal of the Shri Shri Durga Puja Samiti was inaugurated on Saturday. Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Deepika Singh Pandey, along with Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, graced the ceremonial opening as chief guest and special guest respectively.
