JAMSHEDPUR ।
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi chaired the Public Grievance Redressal Day held at the Collectorate office, where he patiently listened to issues raised by citizens from both rural and urban areas.
During the session, residents submitted petitions on a wide range of matters including medical assistance, encroachment on government land, harassment by local miscreants, police inaction despite registered FIRs, illegal construction on ancestral property, installation of electricity meters, disputes related to land records, rehabilitation of displaced persons, pending payments, gratuity claims, sand mining tenders, death compensation assistance, Aadhaar correction, ration card updation, and recruitment on vacant chowkidar posts.

The Deputy Commissioner gave clear instructions to departmental officials for immediate and time-bound resolution of all received applications. He emphasized that issues which are legally, administratively, or technically feasible must be addressed without delay.
DC Satyarthi further directed officers to submit regular progress reports on pending cases and warned against negligence in grievance disposal. He stressed that resolving public grievances is not only the responsibility of the administration but also a way to strengthen public trust and transparency.
The session concluded with assurances that every genuine issue raised by the citizens would be acted upon promptly.
