On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, a health talk was organized at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur to raise awareness about Hepatitis and liver health. The session was conducted by Dr. Kalyan Kumar, Consultant at Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, who shared valuable insights on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of Hepatitis.

He emphasized that Hepatitis can spread through contaminated food and water, infected blood, and bodily fluids. Special attention was drawn to Hepatitis B and C, which often go undetected due to the lack of symptoms in early stages.
Common Symptoms and Treatment
The session highlighted common symptoms such as jaundice, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Dr. Kumar stressed the importance of early detection and antiviral treatments, which can significantly improve patient outcomes. He also urged people to avoid self-medication and consult physicians in case of persistent symptoms.
