SER DESPATCHES 12th OXYGEN EXPRESS TO BANGLADESH

WITH 196 TONNES OF LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN

South Eastern Railway despatched the 12th Oxygen Express to Benapole in Bangladesh from Rourkela in Chakradharpur Division today (25.08.2021). The train left Rourkela carrying 196 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 10 Containers.

The first Oxygen Express Train for Bangladesh was sent to Benapole from Tatanagar on 24.07.2021 for the treatment of Covid affected patients there. Before today’s train, eleven Oxygen Express trains have been sent to Bangladesh from Tatanagar and Rourkela of Chakradharpur Division, South Eastern Railway.

In order to meet the growing demand of Oxygen for treatment of Covid affected patients, South Eastern Railway has been running Oxygen Express Trains since 23.04.2021 to ensure quick transportation and smooth supply of Oxygen.
