JAMSHEDPUR: The legal fraternity and social organizations of Jamshedpur are in a celebratory mood following the resounding victory of two prominent local advocates in the Jharkhand State Bar Association elections. Senior Advocate Rajesh Kumar Shukla, former Deputy Chairman of the State Bar, and Senior Advocate Anil Kumar Tiwari, former General Secretary of the Jamshedpur Bar Association, have emerged victorious in the recently concluded polls.

To mark this significant achievement, the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Seva Samiti, Jamshedpur, organized a special felicitation ceremony. A delegation led by the committee’s Executive President, Subhash Upadhyay, and General Secretary, Kameshwar Pandey, visited the residences of the newly elected officials. The election results are particularly noteworthy as Rajesh Kumar Shukla has been elected to the State Bar for the third consecutive time, showcasing his enduring popularity across Jharkhand. On the other hand, Anil Kumar Tiwari has secured his first win at the state level, representing the interests of Jamshedpur advocates with fresh vigor.

National President of the Savarna Mahasangh Foundation of India, D D Tripathi, was present as a special guest during the felicitation. He emphasized that the victory of these two leaders is a moment of great pride not just for the Brahmin community but for the entire city of Jamshedpur—the industrial capital of Jharkhand.
“Their victory with a huge mandate is a seal of approval from the advocates of Jharkhand on their years of dedicated service and excellence,” Tripathi remarked.
High Hopes for the Chairman’s Post
With these two heavyweights now in the State Bar, there is growing optimism in the city that the next Chairman of the Jharkhand State Bar Association could be from Jamshedpur. Many believe that the responsibility of this prestigious post might fall on the shoulders of either Shukla or Tiwari.
