Jamshedpur. In a major breakthrough, police in Parsudih busted a drug peddler gang operating near the ground behind St. Robert’s School. Acting on a tip-off, a special raiding team nabbed five accused red-handed while they were trafficking brown sugar.
During the operation, police seized 119 pouches of brown sugar, a Hyundai car, mobile phones, bank documents, and multiple QR codes used for online transactions. Investigations revealed that the gang was selling drugs through QR code-based digital payments, involving transactions worth several lakhs.
Interrogation and Ongoing Probe
Police confirmed that the accused will be taken on remand for interrogation. The probe aims to uncover the supply chain – where the brown sugar was sourced from and the areas where it was sold. Authorities suspect a wider network, and raids are continuing to nab more members.

Police Stand
Authorities stressed that this crackdown shows Jamshedpur Police’s tough stance against narcotics. They assured that the anti-drug drive will continue until the entire network is dismantled.
