Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has accepted a criminal appeal filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking to increase the sentences of three accused, including former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, in the infamous fodder scam case. The appeal pertains to the fraudulent withdrawal of ₹89 lakh from Deoghar, a key part of the scam, where six individuals were convicted. Out of these six, three have since passed away.
