Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren, on Wednesday, held an emotional and culturally significant meeting with villagers at his ancestral residence in Nemra. The discussion centered around the upcoming traditional rituals — Teen Nahan (three purification baths), Das Karm (ten-day rituals), and Shraddha (final rites) — following the demise of his father, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.


During the gathering, local elders shared their experiences and insights into the customs associated with these age-old Santhali and tribal traditions. The villagers provided suggestions on how the rituals should be conducted in accordance with the cultural and spiritual heritage upheld by Dishom Guru.

CM Hemant Soren attentively listened to the villagers and assured them that every custom and tradition will be followed with full devotion and dignity, reflecting the values and teachings of Guruji. He also personally reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Das Karm ceremony.
In a heartfelt atmosphere, the villagers recalled their memories with Dishom Guru, expressing their deep sorrow and offering prayers for peace to his departed soul. They also prayed for strength and solace to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
The meeting stood as a tribute not only to a great leader but also to a community’s commitment to preserving its cultural identity and traditions.
