Jamshedpur। Downplaying the post-poll survey conducted by various agencies, BJP on Saturday claimed it would form an absolute majority government in Jharkhand and fulfill the commitment made in the election manifesto.
We will form an absolute majority government in Jharkhand, BJP state unit President, Laxman Gilua, who is contesting from Chakradharpur assembly constituency, told Bihar-Jharkhand News Network (BJNN).
When free his attention towards the post-poll survey conducted by various agencies projecting the possibility of UPA alliance forming the next government in Jharkhand, Gilua said he did not want to reject it as it was based on their own assessment and survey.
As far as BJP’s poll prospect was concerned, Gilua said he can assure that BJP will form a absolute majority government again.
BJP did better than the outcome of the last Lok sabha Post-poll survey and the party crossed 300 mark.
Similarly, our assessment and the feedback we collected from our party workers engaged in the assembly election inculcated confidence that BJP will win with absolute majority, BJP leader claimed.
Referring the recent assembly post-poll survey report, he said BJP will bag more than ten seats in Kolhan region comprised of East and West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharswan districts as well as bordering districts like Khunti, where poll was held in the second phase.
The poll survey predicted BJP getting only two to three seats out of 14 seats in Kolhan region, he said.
Asked whether BJP will get any advantage of Citizenship Amendment Act, that came into force before the last two phases of the five-phase Assembly poll, Gilua said certainly, literate class of the society have voted for saffron party whereas it would take some time for the illiterate class to understand the act.
