Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident that has sent ripples of fear across the industrial city of Jamshedpur, a young man was brutally murdered in broad daylight over an ongoing love triangle dispute. The violent crime took place in the busy Gurudwara Road locality under the jurisdiction of the Mango Police Station on Wednesday. The assailants attacked the victim with sharp weapons and opened fire, leaving him no chance to survive. The deceased has been identified as Rahul. Following the sensational incident, panic gripped the entire neighborhood, while the police have launched massive raids to apprehend the absconding suspects.
Long-Standing Dispute Over a Young Woman Led to the Clash
According to preliminary reports and local sources, the deceased, Rahul, and a youth named Shabbe had been locked in a tense rivalry for a long time over their acquaintance with a young woman. Both individuals were reportedly in contact with the same woman, which caused continuous friction and escalating hostility between them. This deep-seated personal enmity eventually culminated in Wednesday’s horrifying and bloody clash on the streets of Mango.
Ambushed by 10 to 15 Armed Assailants in Broad Daylight
Eyewitnesses recounted that as soon as Rahul arrived near Gurudwara Road, the main accused, Shabbe, along with 10 to 15 armed associates who were already lying in wait, surrounded him from all sides. Before Rahul could react or attempt to escape, the gang launched a ruthless attack on him using sharp-edged weapons. During the assault, the attackers also fired a gunshot at him. The sudden burst of gunfire and violence created chaos on the busy road, causing terrified pedestrians and local shopkeepers to flee in panic to save their lives.

Declared Dead at Tata Main Hospital (TMH)
As soon as the attackers fled the scene, local residents and family members rushed a heavily bleeding and critically injured Rahul to the emergency ward of Tata Main Hospital (TMH). However, after a thorough medical examination, attending doctors declared him brought dead. The news of his demise triggered emotional outbursts and chaos among his grieving family members, leading to a massive crowd gathering at the hospital premises.
Police Scan CCTV Footage; Intense Raids Underway
Upon receiving information about the shootout and murder, a team from the Mango Police Station immediately reached the crime scene and TMH to initiate an investigation. Forensic evidence has been gathered from the spot, and detectives are actively scanning footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify all the culprits involved in the attack.
While initial investigations confirm that the murder was driven by a love triangle and personal rivalry, police officials stated that they are probing the case from all possible angles. Law enforcement agencies have intensified raids across potential hideouts in and around the city. Authorities have assured the public that the perpetrators will be arrested soon, even as the incident raises serious concerns regarding law and order in the Mango area.
