Jamshedpur, : The Jamshedpur Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the sensational murder case of Karni Sena’s Seraikela-Kharsawan District President, Himanshu Singh. Under immense police pressure and continuous raids across multiple states, the main accused carrying a Rs 2 lakh cash reward surrendered in court on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested three more accused, including the owner of D&D Bar.
With these recent arrests and the surrender, a total of 12 accused have now been sent to jail in connection with this high-profile murder case.
Bar Owner Neeraj Singh Apprehended from Rajasthan
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Ehtesham Waquarib disclosed the details during a press conference held at his office on Wednesday.
Interstate Raids: Acting on the directives of the Inspector General of Police and senior officials, the SIT and the Technical Cell conducted intense raids across several states to nab the absconding suspects.
Arrest from Khatu Shyam: Among the arrested is Neeraj Singh, the owner of D&D Bar in Bistupur. He was apprehended from Khatu Shyam in Sikar district, Rajasthan, and brought to Jamshedpur on transit remand. Police confirmed that Neeraj Singh has a prior criminal record.
Two Nabbed from Odisha: In addition, two other accused—Sudarshan Mandal aka Laltu (30) and Rajesh Mandal (27)—were arrested from Bahalda in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. Police also recovered three mobile phones from their possession.

Main Accused Vishwanath Mandal Surrenders in Court
The SSP informed that mounting police pressure and relentless search operations forced the primary accused, Vishwanath Mandal, to surrender before the Jamshedpur Court on Wednesday. The district police had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh for any information leading to his arrest.
The Fatal Night of June 27 Outside D&D Bar
The brutal incident took place on the night of June 27 around 11:30 PM near D&D Bar under the limits of Bistupur police station. Himanshu Singh was fatally attacked with sharp-edged weapons by the assailants. An FIR (Case No. 84/2026) was registered at the Bistupur Police Station regarding the murder.
Police Statement: According to police officials, nine accused had already been arrested and remanded to judicial custody earlier. Following the surrender of the main accused and the arrest of the bar owner along with two associates, the police are now investigating all angles deeply and will take the accused on police remand for thorough questioning.
