Jamshedpur: Three players, out of total 40 selected from across the country, have been selected from Jharkhand–all from Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA), for the Under-18 Asia Cup.The players from NTHA are Ashish Tani Purti, Premchand Soy, and Jaysan Kandulna who have brought great pride to the cradle.
The ace players would represent India during the U-18 Asia Cup 2026, scheduled to be held from May 29 to June 6, 2026 at Kakamigahara, Japan. The Sub-Junior Indian Men’s Hockey Team will undergo a coaching camp from April 19 to 25 at CRC, SAI Centre, Bhopal.
Their inclusion is based on their impressive performances at the recent 16th Hockey India Sub-Junior National Men’s Championship held in Rajgir, where they showcased exceptional skill, consistency, and game awareness.

This achievement is a significant milestone for Naval Tata Hockey Academy, as it stands as the sole contributor from Jharkhand to the national camp, underlining its strong grassroots development system and commitment to excellence.
