Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) Rowing Academy has added another proud chapter to its growing legacy, as two of its athletes Sukhlal Tudu and Sulekha Murmu secured bronze medals at the ongoing National Indoor Rowing Championship 2026 being organised in Cuttack.
This remarkable achievement comes just a day after TSAF celebrated its first-ever national medal in rowing, marking a historic breakthrough for the academy. Building on that momentum, Sukhlal and Sulekha have further strengthened the academy’s presence on the national stage.
Sukhlal Tudu clinched the bronze medal in the U-23 Lightweight Men’s Individual category, while Sulekha Murmu secured bronze in the Lightweight Women’s Individual category. Both athletes hail from the Dimna rural area, making their success even more inspiring as a testament to grassroots talent development.
Their achievements highlight the consistent efforts of TSAF in nurturing young athletes from rural backgrounds and providing them with world-class training and exposure. The back-to-back medals underline the academy’s commitment to excellence and its vision of creating a strong pipeline of rowing talent in India.
