Jamshedpur,: Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR 2026) of the electoral roll, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan held a virtual review meeting with all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) on Monday. The meeting focused on the process of adding the names of left-out eligible Indian citizens to the voter list and issued crucial directives regarding the disposal of Form-6 applications.
Form-6 to be Registered on BLO App Within Two Days
As per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, applications via Form-6 are being collected since August 5, 2026, to include the names of left-out eligible Indian citizens in the voter list.
During the meeting, the District Election Officer directed that all received Form-6 applications must mandatorily be registered on the BLO App within the next two days. Furthermore, instructions were issued to obtain a signed certificate from Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors.
This certificate must explicitly state that Form-6 applications have been collected from all left-out eligible Indian citizens in their respective polling station areas, ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out of the electoral roll.
EROs and AEROs Also Instructed to Provide Certificates
The District Election Officer further instructed that upon receiving the certificates from the BLOs and BLO Supervisors, all EROs must obtain a similar certificate from their respective AEROs.
Additionally, all EROs are required to submit their own certificates regarding this completion to the District Election Officer’s office by September 24, 2026.

Emphasis on Timely Completion of Tasks
Rajeev Ranjan strictly directed the officials to ensure there is no laxity at any level in complying with the Election Commission’s guidelines. He emphasized completing all necessary actions within the stipulated time frame.
Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh was also present during the virtual review meeting.
