JAMSHEDPUR: The Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET), conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), was successfully completed today across 93 examination centers in the district. The examinations were held in a peaceful and malpractice-free environment, backed by stringent administrative monitoring and high-level security arrangements.

Deputy Commissioner and SSP Conduct On-Site Inspections
To ensure complete transparency and maintain the integrity of the examination, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey personally took charge of the field inspections.
The top officials visited several key centers, including Dayanand Public School, Rajendra Vidyalaya, and Motilal Nehru Public School. During their visit, they reviewed the law and order situation, security protocols, candidate seating arrangements, and the availability of essential facilities. Necessary instructions were issued to the deputed officers to maintain strict discipline throughout the shifts.
Participation Statistics: Nearly 20,000 Candidates Appear
According to the official data, a total of 39,265 candidates were registered for the JET in the district. Out of these, 19,962 candidates actively participated in the examination. The district administration had deployed a robust team of magistrates, police personnel, and flying squads to facilitate the smooth conduct of the event across all venues.
High-Tech Surveillance and Multi-Layered Security
The Senior Superintendent of Police emphasized that “Zero Tolerance” towards malpractice was maintained. Every examination center featured:
Intensive Frisking: Thorough manual checking of every candidate at the entrance.
Metal Detectors: Mandatory scanning to prevent the entry of electronic gadgets.
CCTV & Patrols: Constant monitoring of surrounding areas to prevent unnecessary crowding or suspicious activities.
Administration Praises Coordinated Efforts
Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan stated that the examination process followed the JPSC guidelines to the letter. He lauded the coordinated efforts of the center superintendents and the police force. The timely distribution and collection of question papers and OMR sheets were executed with precision, ensuring that the candidates faced no logistical hurdles during the test.
