
Jamshedpur: Air travel from Jamshedpur’s Sonari Airport to Kolkata and Bhubaneswar has seen a slight increase in fares. Meanwhile, flight services will now operate seven days a week, bringing major relief to regular travelers. The airline Indian One International has also started advance bookings up to Durga Puja to meet the festive demand.


As per the updated fare chart:
The Jamshedpur–Kolkata–Jamshedpur round trip will now cost ₹2903, a slight increase from the earlier price of ₹2873.
The Jamshedpur–Bhubaneswar–Jamshedpur journey will now be priced at ₹3182, up from the previous fare of ₹3147.
Despite the minor hike, the availability of daily flights has been welcomed by business travelers, tourists, and residents alike. These flights have become especially useful for medical emergencies and quick business commutes.

Flight Timings:
The Jamshedpur to Kolkata flight will depart at 8:30 AM and arrive in Kolkata at 9:40 AM.
The return flight from Kolkata to Jamshedpur will take off at 2:55 PM, landing back at 4:05 PM.
The increase in frequency from limited days to all seven days of the week is seen as a major development for Jamshedpur’s connectivity with Eastern India. This change eliminates the need for travelers to rely on trains or road journeys, saving both time and effort.
The airline, Indian One International, has hinted at the possibility of expanding to more destinations in the future based on the passenger response and growing demand.
With the festive season approaching, especially Durga Puja, travel is expected to spike, and advance bookings are likely to increase. Passengers are advised to book early to avoid last-minute rush and higher prices.
The Sonari Airport’s increasing activity is being seen as a positive step for regional air connectivity and urban growth in Jamshedpur.
