
Jamshedpur: Thirteen labourers from Matihana Panchayat in Baharagoda block of East Singhbhum district, who were working at Agilis Vitrified Private Limited in Bela, Gujarat, have safely returned home on Friday. Their return was made possible thanks to the timely intervention of former MLA and JMM central spokesperson Kunal Sarangi, along with prompt action by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The workers had been employed at the Gujarat company for several months but reportedly faced continuous harassment from the management. When they attempted to return home, they were allegedly stopped by the company. The workers informed their families about the situation, who then approached Kunal Sarangi for help.
Taking the matter seriously, Kunal Sarangi escalated it to Chief Minister Hemant Soren via Twitter, urging immediate action to ensure justice for the workers. The Chief Minister responded promptly and instructed Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi to take appropriate steps. Following coordination with the Gujarat administration, measures were initiated to secure the safe repatriation of the workers.
After persistent efforts, all 13 labourers safely returned home on Friday. Their arrival brought immense relief and happiness to their families and the entire village.
Upon meeting the workers, Kunal Sarangi personally listened to their experiences and assured them that he would continue to advocate for the rights of labourers. He emphasized that safeguarding the welfare of workers and ensuring justice for them remains his top priority.
