Jamshedpur: Police have cracked the sensational loot and firing case that took place in Bistupur on September 4, 2025. In this incident, businessman Saket Agarwal was robbed of ₹30 lakh near Gurudwara Road. The East Singhbhum police have arrested four accused, including the mastermind Rakesh Mandal alias “Pakodi,” who was nabbed from Amritsar.

East Singhbhum SSP Piyush Pandey, while addressing a press conference at the SSP office on Friday, confirmed the breakthrough. He said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed for the case, which scanned more than 50 CCTV footages and carried out raids in a professional manner to trace the culprits.
The SIT arrested mastermind Rakesh Mandal from Punjab’s Amritsar. During interrogation, he revealed the names of his associates, following which three more accused – Kamlesh Narayan Dubey, Sudhir Narayan Behera, and Ganesh Kumbhkar alias Fucha – were arrested from different districts. After medical examination, all the accused were sent to jail.
According to police interrogation, the prime conspirator behind the loot was Kamlesh Dubey. However, Rakesh Mandal played a key role in executing the entire operation. Out of the looted amount, police have recovered ₹10,69,700 in cash, along with one country-made pistol, the Innova car (JH-05AN-7303) used in the crime, and four mobile phones.
