
ADITYAPUR
Following the guidelines of the National Deworming Day program by the Government of Jharkhand and the Community Health Center (CHC) Gamharia, a highly successful health drive was conducted at Central Public School, Adityapur, on June 15, 2026. The initiative aimed to safeguard children’s health and ensure their proper physical and cognitive development.

Over 650 Students Received Albendazole Tablets
During this significant health initiative, more than 650 students ranging from Nursery to Class 12 were safely administered the 400 mg Albendazole deworming tablet. The distribution and consumption of the medication were closely monitored and supervised by the school coordinators and teaching staff to ensure complete safety and compliance with medical guidelines.
Promoting Physical and Mental Development
The primary objective of this statewide program is to protect children from intestinal worm infections, which are known to cause malnutrition, anemia, and stunted physical and mental growth. By ensuring a worm-free environment, the initiative actively contributes to improving the overall health, immunity, and well-being of the students.
Excellent Coordination by School and Health Department
The deworming drive was systematically and successfully completed in the presence of Principal Rama Shankar Singh, school coordinators, and administrative staff. All officials and employees strictly adhered to the standard operating procedures issued by the health department. The school management expressed special gratitude to Muniram Mahato from CHC Gamharia for his essential guidance, cooperation, and assistance in making the event a grand success.

Mop-Up Day Scheduled for June 18
To ensure that no child is left behind, the health department has scheduled a Mop-Up Day on June 18, 2026. Students who were absent on the primary distribution day will be provided the deworming tablets on this specific date, ensuring complete coverage of the health program.
The school management also extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare of the Jharkhand Government, as well as the Gamharia Block Health Team. This event stands as an excellent example of joint efforts between healthcare departments and educational institutions to build a healthy, strong, and aware future generation.
