JAmshedpur: The Occupational Health Services of Tata Steel celebrated World Heart Day today with an inspiring walkathon at Jubilee Park, emphasizing the importance of heart health. The event saw enthusiastic participation from employees, their families, and citizens of Jamshedpur, all joining hands to raise awareness about cardiovascular health. 350 people participated in the walkathon.

The walkathon was flagged off by Neeraj Sinha, Chief Safety, Tata Steel. Speaking at the event, Neeraj Sinha encouraged everyone to make heart health a priority and shared the company’s commitment to promoting wellness initiatives.

Dr. Mandar Mahavir Shah, Chief Consultant & HOD, Cardiology at TMH, addressed the gathering, offering valuable tips on maintaining a healthy heart. He stressed the importance of regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and mental well-being, urging attendees to not only care for their own hearts but also support the heart health of those around them.

The walkathon was coordinated by Dr Abdul Malik, Plant Medical Officer, Tata Steel along with his team. It was a successful reminder of the importance of physical activity and community engagement in the fight against cardiovascular diseases. Tata Steel continues to support such initiatives that contribute to the health and well-being of its employees and the larger community.
