Jamshedpur।

In the 4th edition of the Positive Impact Rating, XLRI – Xavier School of Management was one amongst the seven B-Schools to achieve the highest level 5 of the PIR as “Pioneering Schools.” XLRI participated in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) for the fourth consecutive year. (Level 5 – Pioneering Schools) features seven schools with an average score of 9.2. Six come from Asia and one from South America.)

The Positive Impact Rating 2023 Report entitled “Accelerating the societal impact of business schools” was launched at the 2023 PRME Global Forum in New York. The social impact levels of 71 business schools from 25 countries were announced by Prof. Thomas Dyllick of the Positive Impact Rating Association and Lauriane Dietrichs, Vice President of oikos International & PIR Board Member.
Fr S George, S.J., Director, XLRI Jamshedpur said, “At XLRI, we always value our students’ efforts and contributions towards making a sustainable future for the greater good of humanity. Back in 2020, XLRI was ranked in Level 3: Progressing Schools demonstrating evidence of results across some impact dimensions. And from 2021-2023, we have consistently been ranked in Level 5: Pioneering Schools, the highest level in PIR. We stand strong with a unique and sustaining global leadership progress. Our students have a fine vision of making the planet a better place for all and are able to engage even for global action. And as we are going to celebrate XLRI’s 75 years of Excellence Legacy – Platinum Jubilee this year, I am extremely happy to add this new feather of achievement.”
Carolin Lemke, Co-President, Oikos International and PIR Supervisory Board Member, said: “It is great to see how students actively part in transforming their business schools. They are key stakeholders for our future and their voice is of crucial importance for curriculum change.”
As an institution, XLRI always strives to push forth ideas with a sense of responsibility ingrained in their thought to bring about change for the betterment of society at large. XLRI since its inception has aimed to nurture responsible global leaders. XLRI’s tagline “For The Greater Good” is a reminder how XLRI can be a force for greater common good in shaping management education and the community at large. Pursuit of academic excellence & fostering whole-person integral growth of students has been the hallmark of XLRI for over 7 decades.
The PIR is a tool for the next generation of change agents and hopes to serve as an inspirational list of impact-driven business schools around the world. Students are clear in their demands for a future-relevant education and the PIR is a tool for the current and next generation of students in the selection process for a suitable business school that is a leader in providing such an education. For the fourth time, students worldwide assessed their business schools on how they perceive their positive impact on the world. The positive impact of business schools goes beyond their contribution to business and the economy; it addresses the need for a positive societal impact.
