Jamshedpur — A Dandiya Night event turned violent in the Aambagan area under Telco police station limits on Wednesday night when two youths were brutally attacked with sharp weapons, allegedly due to an old rivalry.
The victims, identified as Shravan Kumar and Anurag, sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to Tata Motors Hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical.

Eyewitness Account
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers called the two youths outside the event venue on some pretext and suddenly launched the attack. The group of assailants reportedly included more than a dozen people.
Police Response
Upon receiving information, police from Telco police station quickly arrived at the scene. With the help of local residents, two of the fleeing attackers were caught and taken into custody.
The police have begun a detailed investigation and raids are underway to apprehend the remaining accused. Following the incident, the Dandiya program was immediately halted.

Police Statement
Police officials have stated that strict action will be taken against all those involved. They are also investigating the background of the long-standing rivalry that may have led to the attack.
