Jamshedpur: Continuing its annual tradition of fostering sporting talent and holistic development, the Sports Division of Tata Steel is all set to host Summer Camp 2025 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex from May 9 to 30, 2025.
The camp will feature 20 disciplines, including athletics, badminton, volleyball, football, swimming, yoga, Zumba, karate, boxing, chess, horse riding, roller skating, and basketball, among others. A new age category for 4–6-year-olds has also been introduced, offering specially curated activities for them like roller skating, athletics, kids Zumba, and football.
The camp will also host 40 special children and around 60 children from ‘Masti Ki Pathshala’, promoting equal opportunities and inclusive growth. To keep the spirit of community engagement alive, fun activities for parents and guardians will be organized throughout the duration of the camp.
Similar summer camps will also be held in TSK, TSM, RM, TGS, and TSG, ensuring wider participation across regions.
In addition to sports, expert-led informative sessions will focus on important life skills and well-being topics such as:
- Safe & Unsafe Touch
- Menstrual Hygiene
- Nutrition & Hydration for Sports
Sustainability and environmental education are key highlights this year, with a special partnership with the Koru Foundation to organize engaging green activities as part of the initiative to make Summer Camp 2025 a Zero Waste Event.
Koru Foundation Activities:
- Composting & Bio-Enzyme Workshop:
Learn the basics of composting using kitchen waste through live demos and team challenges.
- Handmade Paper making Workshop:
Promote upcycling by creating paper from waste and writing personal pledges.
- Eco-Treasure Hunt:
Solve clues based on sustainability themes and discover eco-friendly habits in a fun, team-based format.
As part of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health on May 28, Koru Foundation will also conduct a dedicated session on Menstrual Health to build awareness among young participants.
With its perfect blend of sports, awareness, and sustainability, Summer Camp 2025 promises to be a celebration of fun, fitness, and future-ready learning for the youth of Jamshedpur.
