Jamshedpur:
In view of the proposed visit of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to Jamshedpur on February 26, senior administrative and police officials conducted a comprehensive review of security and logistical arrangements across the city.
Kolhan Divisional Commissioner Raviranjan Kumar Vikram and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Anuranjan Kispotta inspected the preparedness measures along with senior district officials. The review aimed to ensure that all arrangements are in strict accordance with prescribed security protocols.

Inspection of Event Venues and Route Line
Deputy Commissioner Karan Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey, along with other officials, inspected the proposed program venues, including Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Center in Kadma and Manipal Tata Medical College in Baridih.
Officials reviewed security arrangements from the airport to the event venues, including route alignment, entry and exit points for guests and the general public, parking facilities, fire safety systems, and emergency medical arrangements. Detailed instructions were issued to ensure that all preparations meet the required standards.

Focus on Traffic and Carcade Rehearsal
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the administrative and police arrangements, including traffic diversion plans, alternative routes, barricading, and deployment of security personnel.
A full-scale carcade rehearsal was conducted in accordance with security norms. Joint briefings were held for deployed forces and magistrates to clearly define roles and responsibilities. Over the past two days, trial runs were carried out to assess the timing and security of VIP movement from the airport to the program venues.
Coordinated Efforts for a Dignified Visit
The district administration stated that all departments are working in close coordination to ensure that the President’s visit is safe, well-organized, and conducted with due dignity.
Officials expressed confidence that all necessary preparations have been completed and that the city is fully prepared to host the President’s visit smoothly and securely.
