Jamshedpur: In view of the proposed visit of the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to Jamshedpur on February 26 for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Trust, the district administration has stepped up preparations to ensure smooth execution of the event.
Kolhan Divisional Commissioner Raviranjan Kumar Vikram chaired a high-level review meeting at the Circuit House with Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey, and other senior administrative and police officials. The meeting focused on law and order management, security arrangements, traffic regulation, and inter-departmental coordination.
Venue Inspection and Arrangements
Following the review meeting, the Commissioner inspected the event venue and assessed the progress of ongoing preparations. He reviewed the layout plan, stage setup, seating arrangements for guests, tent installation, and overall security measures. Officials were directed to ensure arrangements befitting the dignity of the President.
Special emphasis was laid on proper entry and exit points, barricading, drinking water facilities, sanitation, uninterrupted power supply, fire safety measures, and clearly marked emergency exit routes.
Security and Traffic Management
The Commissioner instructed authorities to coordinate closely with security agencies to finalize VIP movement routes, convoy arrangements, and traffic diversion plans. A comprehensive strategy for crowd control and smooth vehicular movement is being put in place to avoid inconvenience to the public.
He also directed officials to ensure cleanliness and beautification of the surrounding areas and strictly prohibit the use of plastic materials at the venue.
Coordinated Efforts for Successful Event
The Commissioner emphasized seamless coordination among all departments to ensure the event is conducted in a secure and dignified manner. Senior officials, including the Deputy Development Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Officer of Dhalbhum, along with members of the organizing committee, were present during the meeting and inspection.
The district administration remains on high alert to ensure that the President’s visit is executed smoothly and with full protocol adherence.
