
Jamshedpur. A review meeting of various development plans being implemented by the municipal bodies was held at the Samadhanalay Conference Hall, Jamshedpur, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Karn Satyaarthi. The meeting included discussions on the implementation of government schemes by both the central and state governments, revenue collection, and services being provided to urban residents. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Bhagirath Prasad, Deputy Municipal Commissioner JNAC Mr. Krishna Kumar, all assistant municipal commissioners, and other officials.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner closely reviewed the status of various schemes in all municipal bodies. He directed that all projects be implemented within the prescribed timeframes and with quality assurance, ensuring that urban citizens receive the benefits on time. He also emphasized increasing revenue collection from internal sources.
In order to streamline urban traffic management, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to take stringent action against illegal parking by imposing fines, sending online challans, exploring options for new parking spaces, and organizing the Mango Bus Stand. Additionally, he directed the tendering process for parking lots to be initiated.
The Deputy Commissioner placed special emphasis on strengthening citizen services. He stated that providing basic urban services such as drinking water supply, roads, drainage, public cleanliness, and solid waste management is the primary responsibility of urban administration. He directed officials to ensure coordination and regular inspections to monitor the quality of services provided to citizens.
Regarding the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), he instructed that the completed housing units in Birsanagar be handed over to the beneficiaries with necessary civic amenities at the earliest. He stressed that the timely delivery of benefits to the beneficiaries should be the responsibility of municipal bodies.
On the issue of construction violations, the Deputy Commissioner made it clear that building plans that deviate from approved layouts should be monitored closely, and strict actions should be taken against the property owners to prevent unregulated and illegal constructions.
For the swift resolution of citizen complaints, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for a digital grievance redressal system, where citizens could log their complaints online, track their status, and receive timely resolutions. He instructed officials to adopt technical solutions for this system.
The meeting also included the review of applications under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) and PM Swamitva Scheme. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned department to expedite the loan distribution process and ensure quick financial support for the beneficiaries.
Finally, updates on Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), Chief Minister’s Labor Scheme, and other ongoing schemes were reviewed, with a strong emphasis on transparency and target-based performance from officials.
