In view of the upcoming Ram Navami and Chaiti Chhath, a crucial review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi in Jamshedpur. Officials from all administrative departments and essential service providers participated to ensure smooth and safe celebrations.

Peaceful Celebration is Top Priority
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the administration’s primary goal is to ensure that both festivals are conducted in a peaceful and harmonious environment. He directed all departments to work in coordination so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
Focus on Basic Civic Amenities
Special instructions were given to ensure uninterrupted supply of drinking water, electricity, sanitation, lighting, and healthcare services. Authorities were also asked to strengthen emergency response systems and maintain continuous monitoring during the festival period.
Tight Security Arrangements
Police officials have been directed to identify sensitive areas and remain extra vigilant. Procession routes and immersion ghats will be jointly inspected. Additionally, surveillance through drones and CCTV cameras will be implemented to enhance security.

Traffic & Crowd Management Plan
To manage large crowds, barricading, stage setups, and sound systems will be arranged. On the day of processions, heavy and commercial vehicles will be restricted from entering the city. Flag marches will also be conducted to ensure law and order.
Emergency Services on Standby
Emergency preparedness includes deployment of doctors at key locations, availability of government and private ambulances, and readiness of fire brigades and crane-towing vehicles. Alternative routes will also be identified for smooth traffic flow.
Coordination with Akhara Committees
The administration will work closely with Akhara committees to ensure cleanliness, drinking water supply, and crowd control through volunteers. Guidelines such as standard flag height and safety measures will be strictly enforced.
Control Room to Remain Active
The district control room will remain fully operational with trained personnel to address public grievances and emergencies promptly.
Joint Effort by All Departments
Officials from police, health, municipal bodies, fire services, and other departments were present in the meeting. All were instructed to ensure timely and coordinated execution of responsibilities for smooth festival management.
