Jamshedpur News : 4-Year-Old Dies After Falling Into Open Septic Tank in Demdubi Area

According to the family, the child had visited his grandmother’s house. Finding no one there, he started returning home alone. On the way, his foot slipped into an open septic tank at an under-construction site and he fell inside. The tank was filled with rainwater, which led to the child drowning.

For nearly half an hour, no one noticed the incident. Later, family members and local residents began searching for him. After a strenuous effort, the child was pulled out of the tank and rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where doctors declared him dead. The news of his death plunged the family into grief and left the neighborhood in a state of mourning.

Contractors and officials responsible for the construction had failed to provide proper safety measures, resulting in this fatal accident.
