Veer Soren (21), grandson of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and elder son of Babulal Soren, passed away tragically in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu-Manali. The untimely demise has left the Soren family and supporters across Jharkhand in deep shock and grief.
Had Travelled to Manali with Friends
According to reports, Veer Soren had gone to Kullu-Manali with his friends to enjoy a holiday in the snow-covered hills. During the trip, he participated in skiing and other snow activities.
After returning to the hotel later in the day, his health suddenly deteriorated. Within a short time, he lost consciousness, causing panic among his friends.
Declared Dead at Hospital
His friends immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital in Manali. However, after medical examination, doctors declared him dead. The sudden loss of such a young life has stunned not only the family but also well-wishers and supporters.
The incident was reported to Champai Soren and family members later in the evening, following which they left for Kullu.
Champai Soren Confirms on Social Media
Former Chief Minister Champai Soren confirmed the heartbreaking news through a social media post. In his message, he stated:
“With profound sorrow, we inform you of the untimely demise of our beloved grandson Veer Soren on February 24, 2026. After his sudden health complications in Manali, he was taken to a hospital, but fate had other plans. His passing has shattered our family.
– The Soren Family”
Following this message, condolences began pouring in from across the political and social spectrum.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato Expresses Grief
Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In his social media post, he said he was deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Veer Soren, grandson of former CM Champai Soren and son of Babulal Soren.
He described the young man’s death as an irreparable loss not only to the Soren family but to society as a whole. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences and prayed for strength and courage for the bereaved family.
The tragic incident has cast a shadow of mourning across Jharkhand. May the departed soul rest in peace.
