Sri Sanjay Chander, IPS , Director General/ Railway Protection Force, Railway Board , New Delhi visited the South Eastern Railway Headquarters, Garden Reach on 28.10.21. He was presented with Guard of Honour and he watched the Unarmed Combat programme , presented by the young lady constables deployed in Howrah-Kharagpur suburban section.
Sri Chander held a high level meeting with Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, SER and other Principal Head of the Departments regarding safety & security of the Railway passengers. He flagged off the 20 new motor cycles allotted to the zone for better functioning of the day to day work of RPF. He also inaugurated a Conference Hall of RPF /SER at Garden Reach.
Sri Chander presided over the meeting with Sri D.B. Kasar, IG cum Principal Chief Security Commissioner of SER along with IGs of Eastern Railway, Metro Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works and other senior RPF officers. He appreciated the “Operation My Saheli” which is meant for better safety and security of lady passengers. “Operation Nanhe Fariste” in which RPF has rescued a number of minor girls and boys and nabbed 19 traffickers, was also praised by him during the meeting.
