SER ALREADY DEPATCHED MORE THAN 5500 MT OF LIQUIED MEDICAL OXYGEN (LMO) ONLY FROM TATANAGAR STATION TOWARDS DIFFERENT STATES/UNION TERRITORIES OF THIS COUNTRY

South Eastern Railwayonly from Tatanagar station already moved more than 5500 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen towards different states of this viz. Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttrakhand and Delhi. Out of 58 trains originated for the above mentioned states, 17 trains were dispatched for Uttar Pradesh till 30th May (today) morning.

The first train from Tatanagar was despatched towards Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh on 03.05.2021 in 10 containers. In the first trip these containers were loaded after refilling from the plant. But in subsequent trips refiling of these containers were arranged at the railway siding itself saved a good amount of time on transformation and unloading from wagons at siding for plant and back to siding for loading.

The dedicated team of South Eastern Railway, so far, has despatched total 164OxygenExpress trains with 11575 tonnes of LMO to expedite the treatment of the patients in need from Tatanagar, Rourkela and Bokaro up till noon of 30th May 2021.

Employees of SER are working round the clock to ensure that the transportation of LMO is possible in minimum time from Bokaro, Rourkela and Tatanagar under SER’s jurisdiction for the cities having requirement of Oxygen for the Covid patient.Tracks are kept open and high alertness is maintained to ensure that Oxygen Express keeps zipping through in extreme weather condition too. Monitoring is being done at apex level considering the importance in this crisis situation.
