Students and staff of Jamshedpur Women’s University celebrated Republic Day in Bistupur campus and Sidhgora campus with great fervor and pride. On this National day , flag hoisting was done by the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Dr Anjila Gupta following the National anthem and guard of Honour by NCC and NSS students.
In her address Prof Dr Anjila Gupta elaborated on the road of academic, research and extra curricular success that the university is marching on. She elaborated on Research endeavours taken up by the university, a successful placement of 150 students by Winston Electronics and 109 students by Tech Mahindra in January, success of students in extra curricular activities like dance, sports, music etc. She expressed her pride that Jamshedpur Women’s University is the nodal office of Central government initiative of ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’ in Jharkhand and has hosted 50 students from Goa and in January 25 students visited Goa. Prof Dr Anjila Gupta also emphasized that the university boasts of timely examinations and results in Jharkhand. Prof Dr Gupta also foundly recalled international and national laurels brought to the university by late Shanti Mukta Barla who met with a untimely and tragic end in January and in her honored memory annual sports Championship trophy will be named.

Vote of thanks was given by Registrar Shri Rajendra Jayaswal. This ocassion was graced by the presence of DSW Dr Kishwar Ara, FO Dr Jawed Ahmad, Controller of Examination Dr Rama Subramanian, Proctor Dr Sudhir Sahu, CVC Dr Annapurna Jha, DO Dr Salomy Kujur, Dean’s of Humanities , Social SC, commerce, Science, Heads of the Departments, and teachers. Music was by Dr Sanatan Deep, Head of the Music department and stage anchoring was done by Dr Nupur Anvita Ming.
