Jamshedpur, : As part of its ongoing media engagement initiatives, Tata Steel Corporate Communication, Jamshedpur, in collaboration with the Sports Department of Tata Steel, organised a Golf Putting Competition for media professionals at the iconic JRD Tata Sports Complex. The event was the part of ongoing Summer Camp 2025.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 30 journalists representing various media houses across Jamshedpur. Participants ranged in age from 20 to 70 years, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event and the growing appeal of recreational sports among professionals.
For many of the journalists, it was their first experience with golf putting, and the excitement on the greens was matched only by the spirit of camaraderie. The event concluded with a trophy presentation ceremony, where winners across different age categories were honoured for their performance.
The Golf Putting Competition was not only a refreshing break from routine but also a celebration of the strong bond between Tata Steel and the media fraternity of Jamshedpur.
The event was graced by Mrs. Daisy Irani, Mukul Vinayak Chaudhary, Chief Sports, Tata Steel, Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head Sports (Events & Training Centre), Tata Steel and Rajesh Rajan, Head Communication Raw Materials & Jharkhand, Tata Steel. Their presence added to the enthusiasm of the participants and underscored Tata Steel’s commitment to community engagement. The organizing committee members, Mohammad Kalam, Dr. Hassan Imam, L Nageshwar Rao, Firoz Khan and Runway Dhabha worked to make the event a great success.

Age 40 – 45: 1st – Ranjan Jha (Score: 16)
Age 45 – 50: 1st – Binay Purty (Score: 11) 2nd – Vinod Singh, Dhananjay Kumar (Score: 15 each) 3rd – Alok Pandey (Score: 25)
Age 50 – 55: 1st – Nanak Singh (Score: 9) – CHAMPION 2nd – Neeraj Tiwari (Score: 17) 3rd – Anjani Kumar Pandey (Score: 21)
