Jamshedpur – Urban Services, Tata Steel organizes Inter Centre Drawing Competition

on the occasion of World Environment Day

To mark the occasion of World Environment Day, an Inter Centre Drawing Competition was organized on 07^th June 2019 at Dhatkidih Community Centre by Urban Services, CSR. The competition was for four different age groups i.e. Group A (Std. I-III), Group B (Std. IV to VI), Group C (Std. VII to IX) and Group D (Std. X to XII). About 100 children from catchment basti areas of the twelve community centres participated to give shapes and colours to their creativity. The competition was themed on “ Clean & Green Environment”.

Ms. Madhulika Sharma, Chief Corporate Sustainability, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Observing the enthusiasm of the young participants who came to exhibit their creative abilities, she thanked all the participants for and making the programme a success. She was also visibly impressed after seeing the work done by budding painters of the steel city. Appreciating the organisers, she suggested such initiatives to be continued on a regular basis. She gave prizes to the winners.

Mr. Jiren Xavier Topno, Head, Urban Services, Ms. Gurbari Hembram, Managers, Urban Services, Mr. Nav Kant Jha, Union Committee Member, Tata Workers union & Area Officer, Dhatkidih Community Centre, Mr. Birdhan Marandi, Mr. Chandra Sekhar Murmu, Mr. Dinesh Dubey, Md. Farid Khan, Ms. Moti Melgandi, all staff of Dhatkidih Community Centres, & staff of Urban Services were also present during the function.

The Drawing competition was judged by Mr. Krishna Mahato & Mr. Rajesh Bajpai.

Results:

Participants across the four groups, who have participated, were given consolation prize.
