Today, 22nd December 2017, the second day of annual sports meet “Frolic” 2017 continued in RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur. The institute has initiated this co-curricular initiative in the important sphere of Games & Sports to facilitate a balance of opportunities in its endeavour where the emerging youths could ensure all round pursuit of development. The event began with colours of grandeur to explore inquisitive abilities to visualize its achievements and worth. It was a matter of immense privilege for RVSCET to have a renowned personality, Mr. Chandan Sahi, Regional Head of ICICI Bank, Jamshedpur, with rich expertise and corporate exposure as the esteemed chief guest. It was a proud privilege for RVSCET to have Mr. Parag Tharia, Senior Branch Manager, Sakchi, Jamshedpur and Mrs. Kirti Karan, Manager of Institutional Business, Jamshedpur region as the distinguished guest of honour and special guest. The second day was graciously organized with bouquet presentation and lighting up of the lamp of radiance. Thereafter it was followed by Shawl and memento presentation to the chief guest as a symbolic token of reminiscence. Apart from the chief guest, the function was cordially solicited by the presence of the eminent dignitaries of RVSCET family including the hon’ble Treasurer, Sri Shatrughna Singh, Executive Member of the Governing Body, Shri, Shakti Singh were present to grace the occasion. Other distinguished members of the institute including Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Singh, the Hon’ble Director of the RVS Trust, Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Gupta, Dean of Academic, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwary, Dean of Research & Planning Dr. Vikram Sharma, all head of the departments, Professor Incharge of sports committee, Asst. Registrar, NSS Programme Officers of the institute, all revered faculty members and supporting staffs, respected parents, guests and preeminent media personnel were present to sprout the elegance of this three day sports meet and initiate its charm and worth. The arena was assembled by large number of eminent members, college participants and huge gathering of the spectators to rejoice the triumph and victory with great applause. The chief guest gracefully extended his heartiest congratulation to the managing committee of RVS family and the participants for the initiative, endeavor and effort that all have rendered so far. The chief guest addressed in his brief note to the aspirants of the college that participation in sports and games are the effective tool of all round personality development and an open door of displaying the latent potentialities of the future India.
The second day of “Frolic 2017” continued with several outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball Tug of War and Badminton in which the several teams of the respective departments including Silicon, Torque, Power, Logical, Concreto and Steelium. Not only in the sphere of outdoor games but equally the indoor games like PC Games, Mehandi, Face Painting, Collage Art, Ludo, Treasure Hunt, Chess, Carrom Board and Rangoli were also being organized to explore the potentiality and creativity of the students.
Today special guest, Mrs. Kirti Karan, Manager, Institutional, Business, Jamshedpur addressed in her special note to the students and the audience that active participation in co-curricular activities to be an integral part of inculcating a blend of physical and social development apart from academic. The institute, so far had encouraged for co-curricular activities to promote the belief and strengthen ones sound physique. With such multi-disciplinary achievements in sports and co-curricular activities, RVSCET, Jamshedpur aspires to be an institute of par excellence. Tomorrow the final and 3rd day of “Frolic 2017” will witness to set new milestone in the sphere of games and sports.
