Students have registered for the competition through their respective schools. The event will be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Zoo premises.
The competition aims to encourage students to articulate their thoughts and understanding on themes related to wildlife conservation, biodiversity, environmental protection, and the importance of safeguarding natural ecosystems. Through this initiative, students will have an opportunity to develop awareness and appreciation for nature while expressing their ideas through creative and informed writing.
The programme is expected to foster greater sensitivity towards conservation issues among the younger generation and strengthen their role as future custodians of the environment.
The results of the Essay-Writing Competition will be announced and the winners felicitated on 4 October 2026 during the valedictory function of Wildlife Week Celebration–2026.
Tata Steel Zoological Park and the Jamshedpur Forest Department invite participating students, teachers, and schools to actively engage in the programme and support the collective effort towards wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship
