Jamshedpur, July 17: Raju Hansda’s first-half strike cancelled out an early opener from Gramin Football Academy as the Premier Division clash between Babulal Soren Football Association and GFA ended in a 1-1 draw at the JRD Sports Complex.
Tarun Singh had given GFA the lead in the 10th minute, but Hansda levelled the scores in the 34th. Both sides battled hard for a winner, but the points were eventually shared
Over at the Telco Stadium, Sporting Club Jamshedpur produced the standout performance of the day with a commanding 4-0 win over Jamshedpur Boys Club. Gokul Mardi opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Rajesh Tudu netted twice (75’, 88’) and Akash Hembrom added another (80’) to seal a dominant result. The match was played cleanly, with no cards issued.
In the Super Division fixture at Gopal Maidan, Jungle Tiger Football Academy edged past Andhra Sporting Union 2-1 in a tightly contested battle. Sahil Mardi struck in the 6th minute to put JTFA ahead, but Andhra levelled just before the break through Yogeshwar Besra (42’). With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Sujit Mahakud popped up in the 87th minute to snatch the win. Three yellow cards were issued, but both teams finished with eleven men.
In the A Division (Group A), MSC recorded a 2-0 victory over Jharkhand Bayar at the Armoury Ground. Sunaram Murmu scored in the 28th minute, while Nadeem Akhtar added a second in stoppage time (90+2). The only booking of the match went to MSC’s Gobinda Besra in the 40th minute.

In Group B action, United Football Association edged past Ambedkar FC 1-0 at Tinplate Sports Complex. Anil Bandra found the net in the 10th minute, and that proved enough for UFA to seal the win. Ambedkar FC’s Arjun Bandra was shown a yellow card in the 66th minute, with no further disciplinary issues in the match.
