Jamshedpur News :Six criminals including the conspirator involved in the killing of a hotelier and real estate dealer in Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharswan

Jamshedpur: Six criminals including the conspirator Ashok Kumar Singh alias Raghav were arrested in connection with the murder of a hotelier-cum-real estate businessman Nikhar Sablok on National Highway 33 under Chandil police station in Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharswan district, a senior police officer on Wednesday said.
33-year-old victim along with friends had visited a restaurant at Kanderbeda under Chandil police station limit to finalize land deal on 24th August afternoon when assaintants on motorcycles opened indiscriminate firing, injuring Sablok critically.
He was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, where doctors declared him dead following examination.
Addressing a joint press conference here, Senior Superintendent of Police (East Singhbhum) Ehtesham Waquarib and Superintendent of Police (Seraikela-Kharswan) Manoj Swargiary said both the district police swung into action and conducted raids in several parts of the state as well as other states including Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
In course of the investigation, they police officials said police has arrested six persons including the conspirator and one of the shooter.
Waquarib said the shooter was arrested from Uttar Pradesh.
Police recovered two pistols loaded with three and four rounds in the magzine and a car used in the crime, they added.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the killing was a outcome of land related dispute, SSP said adding that police investigation from all possible angle including possible gang war was underway.
A possible gang war between Akhilesh Singh, now serving jail term in Dumka central jail, and Ganesh Singh gand was also under investigation, SSP said.
Police team were still conducting raid in some states including Vanaras (Uttar Pradesh).
Criminals were hired for Rs. 15 lakhs to execute the crime, police officer said.
The arrested included Sunil Rajak, Ritesh Singh, Sushil Kerai (all from Jamshedpur), Raj Kumar Singh and Ankit Singh (both residents of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh
