Madrasi Sammelani has today organised a cultural program to pay tribute to Sri Thyagaraja, the renowned Carnatic classical singer, poet and great devotee of Sri Rama.
As part of the same, many local South Indian classical singers such as Smt Manga Thayaru, Smt Shailaja, Smt Usha Rajan, Ms Gayatri, Mrs Vani, Ms Shruti, Ms Jayashree and Sri Pradeep on Tabla rendered Pancha Ratna kritis written by Sri Thyagaraja and also many other songs by him.
The program was well received by the audience who enjoyed the event.
