Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur police foiled an alleged murder plot in the Jugsalai police station area with the timely arrest of two accused. According to the police, the conspiracy was orchestrated by Khurshid, alias Bhakur, who is currently lodged in Ghaghidih Jail. Following his orders, his gang members conducted a recce and attempted a fatal attack on Nizam, a resident of Pahalwandera in Jugsalai.
Based on the information provided by the arrested individuals, the police recovered an illegal country-made pistol (katta) and two heavy, sharp iron weapons. Following the recovery, a separate case under the Arms Act has been registered at the Jugsalai Police Station.
Attack on Nizam Following a Recce
During a press conference, City SP Lalit Meena stated that on September 19, 2026, Nizam informed the police that Khurshid, from inside Ghaghidih Jail, was attempting to get him murdered through his gang members.
Taking the information seriously, a special police team was constituted under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law & Order) and the Jugsalai Police Station In-charge.
Police investigations revealed that on Khurshid’s instructions, Ayan Baccha and Altu Baccha tracked Nizam’s movements. They attempted to attack him with heavy sharp weapons, but Nizam managed to escape the spot unharmed.
