Jamshedpur: Police in the Golmuri area of Jamshedpur have arrested four criminals while they were allegedly planning a criminal act. With this arrest, the mystery surrounding the recent firing rumor on July 2 in Golmuri has also been clarified. The police recovered illegal firearms and other suspicious items from the accused.

According to City SP Kumar Shivashish, police received a confidential tip-off that Veer Singh and Raja Yadav, along with some of their associates, were plotting to carry out a criminal act. Acting swiftly on the information and under instructions from the SSP, a special team was formed. The team raided Raja Yadav’s house and surrounded the area.
During the operation, the police arrested Veer Singh, Raja Yadav, Ravi Kumar Rao, and Vicky Singh. A search led to the recovery of two country-made pistols, two live cartridges, one sharp-edged weapon, and three mobile phones.
The police suspect that this group was planning a major crime, which was averted due to timely action. The arrests also helped clarify the confusion surrounding the alleged firing incident in Golmuri on July 2.
City SP Shivashish made it clear that no actual firing took place in Golmuri, and the news circulating was merely a rumor. He urged citizens not to believe in such misinformation and to remain alert. He also encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities to the police immediately.
Interrogation of the arrested individuals is underway, and the police hope to uncover further details about their network and any other crimes they may be involved in. The police department continues its efforts to strengthen law enforcement and maintain peace in the region through regular patrolling and intelligence-based operations.
