Jamshedpur: The closure of the VIP line and the ongoing parking issues at Tata Nagar Railway Station have raised serious concerns by AJSU. A meeting of the AJSU district committee was held at the residential office of the district president to discuss the matter in detail.
During the meeting, AJSU leaders highlighted that the closure of the VIP line would put extra pressure on the dropping line. When VIP officials arrive at the station, they would have to use a temporary line. Consequently, passengers who have only 10 minutes to drop off their vehicles in the dropping line will face difficulties, creating inconvenience for the general public using the station.
AJSU district president Kanhaiya Singh stated that a memorandum regarding this issue will be submitted to the DRM through the station master. He emphasized that this is a public interest issue and cannot be ignored. If the problem is not resolved promptly, AJSU plans to undertake a phased public movement to highlight the issue.
It was decided in the meeting that the memorandum would be submitted at 11 AM the next day. In case of no response, a series of protest actions will be planned. AJSU urged the railway authorities to take immediate action so that parking and dropping arrangements at the station can operate smoothly, avoiding inconvenience for passengers.
AJSU further stressed that the VIP line closure will inconvenience not just officials but also regular passengers, increasing delays and discomfort. Therefore, resolving the issue on a priority basis is crucial.
Kanhaiya Singh mentioned that AJSU has always been active in public welfare and passenger safety and convenience. He urged the railway administration to thoroughly review the parking and dropping arrangements at Tata Nagar station and to reopen the VIP line immediately.
AJSU also warned that failure to resolve the issue promptly would escalate difficulties for both VIP officials and ordinary passengers. Hence, while submitting the memorandum, they have kept the possibility of a public interest movement open to ensure quick action.
