Today, 23rd December 2017, the Third day of annual sports meet “Frolic” 2017 continued in RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, to facilitate a balances of opportunities and tempo of excellence performed by the students in different areas of games which reflect the glimpse of all round physical and social development. The final day of Frolic was continued in all its solemnity and grandeur. The event of the last day began most majestically in RVSCET premises amidst a huge gathering of the participants and the spectators. The event had illuminated with flying colours in the benign presence of the dignitaries of RVSCET family including hon’ble Chairman, Sri Binda Singh, Tresurer of the institute, Sri Shatrughna Singh, and the Executive Member of the Governing Body, Shri, Shakti Singh to grace the occasion. It was a matter of immense privilege for RVSCET to have a renowned personality, Shri Prabhat Kumar, IPS, City S.P., East Singhbhum, as the esteemed chief guest who presided over the function to shower his blessing and extend his complements to the participants as well as to the managing committee to visualize and attain new heights of achievements and worth in the diversified spectrum of games and sports. The other eminent and distinguished members of the college including Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Singh, the Hon’ble Director of the RVS Trust, Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Gupta, Dean of Academic, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwary, Dean of Research & Planning Dr. Vikram Sharma, all head of the departments, Professor Incharge of sports committee, Asst. Registrar, NSS Programme Officers of the institute, all revered faculty members and supporting staffs, respected parents, guests and media personnel were present to sprout the elegance of this final day of Frolic and to chear-up the participants and motivated the feeling of sportsmanship. The chief guest in his short and brief note to the students and audience that in the new era of emerging technology and prosperity, the signifant participation in the sphere of games and sports to be an integral part of physical development which is equally essential to fortify and enrich personality development. He aroused the budding aspirants and the future technocrats to inculcate the essence of physical fitness. He addressed his ray of encouragement to the students for their initiates and endeavors to champion the cause of sportsmanship. Event of the 3rd and final day of “Frolic 2017” continued with buoyant spirit of several outdoor and indoor games performed by students of respective branches like Silicon, Torque, Power, Logical, Concreto and Steelium.
Several outdoor games like 100 meter and 400 meter race was organized for both boys and girls 400 meter relay race for both boys and girls also added charm and enthusiasm in the field. Exciting cricket match between Director XI and Principal XI was organized. Tug of War arranged among the students of the respective departments. The final match of basketball and badminton also added a thrilling moment of enthusiasm. In the area of indoor games, the final match of chess and PC was also organized. The indoor games also emerged out a scintillating and enticing moment to sprout out the potentially and creativity of the students. To spread rejoice and clamour, musical chair competition for the lady faculty members were organized with a great cheer and applause. It was also a gracious moment for RVSCET family to render prize distribution to the winners and the runners up by the pious hand of the chairman of the institute, Shri Binda Singh and the treasurer, Shri Satrughna Singh, with his wholesome patronage and the warmth of his company. He finally congratulated to all the participants for displaying such a multi-disciplinary worth of achievement in sports and co-curricular activities. All the participants were given a certificate of appreciation for their active participation. All the committee members of “Frolic 2017” equally deserves congratulation and appreciation for the effort that all had rendered so far. With such a multi-disciplinary achievement in games and sports, RVSCET aspires to be an institution of all round excellence and set a path for the upcoming generation and the pride of the nation.
