Deoghar: In a significant move to ensure smooth and safe Jalarpan (holy water offering) for the common devotees during the upcoming Sravani Mela 2025, the State Government of Jharkhand has once again imposed a complete ban on VIP, VVIP, and Out-of-Turn Darshan at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Mr. Vishal Sagar informed that the decision has been taken in accordance with state government directives to prioritize the convenience and spiritual experience of the devotees, considered godlike in Hindu culture.
Every year during the month of Shravan, lakhs of pilgrims from across the country come to Deoghar to offer holy water on the Shivling at Baba Baidyanath temple. To prevent any unfair advantage or crowding due to special categories, the government has once again prohibited any VIP or VVIP entries, including those seeking out-of-turn access.

This step is aimed at maintaining equality, fairness, and transparency during the pilgrimage season. With no special permissions being granted, every devotee—regardless of status—will have to go through the designated queue system like everyone else.
The district administration has already begun preparations to handle the huge influx of pilgrims. Arrangements include queue management systems, crowd control measures, dedicated medical support, drinking water stations, CCTV surveillance, shaded waiting areas, and a central control room to monitor the entire operation.
Officials stated that this move is also meant to build public trust in the temple management system and ensure a spiritually enriching experience for all. The absence of privileged treatment will allow every devotee to feel equal and respected in the eyes of Lord Shiva.
The administration has appealed to all visitors to cooperate with officials, follow the established protocols, and contribute to making Sravani Mela 2025 a peaceful, organized, and divine event.
