A three day annual sports meeting “Frolic 2017” was inaugurated with rejoice and cherish moments of endeaveour towards games and sports. It was a matter of proud privilege for RVSCET family to have one of the renowned personality, Prof. (Dr.) Gopal Pathak, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, as the esteemed Chief Guest. The event of the first day emerged out with the release of balloons in the air and lighting up the lamp of wisdom. He gracefully announced three day sports meet in co-presence over more than 500 participants and 200 spectators. In his short and brief note to the budding aspirants of RVSCET, he extended his ray of encouragement for their initiatives, endeavours and efforts to champion the cause of sports and sportsmanship particularly for the emerging youths of India.
Apart from the Chief guest, the managing committee and the dignitaries of RVSCET, Jamshedpur including the hon’ble Chairman, Sri Binda Singh, hon’ble Secretary, Sri, Bharat Singh, Tresurer of the institute, Sri Shatrughna Singh, Executive Member of the Governing Body, Shri, Shakti Singh were present to grace the occasion. Other eminening members of the institute including Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Singh, the Hon’ble Director of the RVS Trust, Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) R. N. Gupta, Dean of Academic, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwary, Dean of Research & Planning Dr. Vikram Sharma, all head of the departments, Professor Incharge of sports committee, Asst. Registrar, NSS Programme Officers of the institute, all revered faculty members and supporting staffs, respected parents, guests and media personnel were present to sprout the elegance of this three day sports meet and initiate its charm and worth. The first day was ceremonially organized with bouquet presentation to the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries. It was followed up with memento presentation to the hon’ble Chief Guest as a token of gratification. A token of reminiscence was laid by Shawl and memento presentation to the Chief Guest by the hon’ble Chairman and the Secretary of the institute. The event began majestically with welcome address by the director of the institute, Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Singh to the chief guest for his benign presence and extended his warm greeting to all the participants and guest. Hon’ble Secretary, Sri Bharat Singh addressed his words of inspiration and extended his congratulation to all the participants for the spirit and drive of sportsmanship. The chief guest gracefully praised the atmosphere of the college and extended his inspiration to all the emerging youth for inculcating sportsmanship in their spirit and the college for conducting such multi-dimensional co-curricular event & activities. To add colours of grandeur, the first year girl students preformed Aerobics dance with flying colours to grace and cherish the moment. Evnts of several indoor and outdoor games began with the different respective team of the students as Silicon, Torque, Power, Logical, Concreto and Steelium. Not only in the sphere of outdoor games but equally the indoor games like PC Games, Mehandi, Face Painting, Collage Art, Treasure Hunt, Chess, Carrom Board and Rangoli wer also being organized to explore the potentiality and creativity of the students.
