Jamshedpur – Tata Steel UISL’s Public Health Services (PHS) department commemorated International Women’s Day with a heartfelt celebration dedicated to the women workers who tirelessly clean Jamshedpur every day. The event, held at Kasidih Depot, was a tribute to these remarkable women and their significant contributions to maintaining a clean and vibrant city.

The program commenced with a warm welcome for approximately 200 women workers from Kasidih Depot. Each woman received a token of appreciation in the form of a rose, symbolizing gratitude for their hard work.

The event was graced by Mr. Manojsingh Shekhawat (Chief DM (H&H)), Papu Sardar (Brand Ambassador of Swachha Bharat Mission JNAC)and the senior official of Tata Steel UISL.

The guest delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the significance of International Women’s Day. Their words resonated with the female workforce at Kasidih Depot, motivating and empowering them.

A cake-cutting ceremony also took place, with all the women safai sathis (sanitation workers) participating alongside the guests. This act of unity symbolized the pivotal role of women in every sector of society.

To infuse a sense of fun and festivity, a musical chairs game added a touch of entertainment, with prizes distributed to the winners, fostering a lighthearted atmosphere.

The International Women’s Day program, organized by the Tata Steel UISL, served as a platform to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of women workers and celebrate their achievements in maintaining the cleanliness of Jamshedpur.
