Jamshedpur, March 8, 2021: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Tata Steel Parivaar today organised a mass plantation drive for the women and their family members of Jamshedpur at Forest Trail, Marine Drive. The programme was organised by Tata Steel in collaboration with Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL).
This ‘green’ initiative aims to plant around 150 saplings that will contribute to the ecological balance and healthy life for generations to come.
The event witnessed active participation from women employees of Tata Steel and group companies, homemakers, working professionals, etc. Some exciting gratifications like an e-certificate, planting and adopting a tree and the distribution of five kg of compost were organised for the participants. The plantation drive will remain open tomorrow for all women of Jamshedpur to join and be part of this initiative.
Tata Steel thanks all the participants for their support and enthusiasm, and coming together to celebrate the spirit of womanhood.
