Jamshedpur, April 9, 2019: Three Trainees from Tata Steel Sports Department’s Karate Training Centre won five medals (One Gold, Two Silver & Two Bronze) in the 1st South Asia Invitational Karate Championship held on April 1-2, 2019 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Indian team won the Runner’s Up Trophy. The trainees from the Tata Steel Karate Training Centre included Aakansha Singh, Vishal Yadav and Karnisha Das while L Nageshwar Rao took lead as Coach for the Indian Team.
Other participating countries in the Meet included Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan.
