TATA BUSINESS EXCELLENCE GROUP ORGANISES ASSESSOR RECOGNITION FUNCTION

Jamshedpur। Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG), organised a function to recognize Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP) Assessors at Golmuri Club. In TEEP, 4 types of assessments are done. A total of 104 assessors were recognised.

Under the Regular program, 9 schools had participated in 2018. Each assessment takes around 6   days, resulting in an assessment report consisting of Strengths, Opportunities for improvement and a score. Each school is assessed by a 5-member team. Over 44 assessors under the Regular program were recognised at the function.

The concept of mentoring was introduced in 2018. Mentors are typically those who have completed 12-13 assessments. They interact with the team at each stage of the assessment and provide guidance to the team. 5 mentors were recognised at the function.

Regular assessments and Dip Checks are done in alternate years such that a school which undergoes Dip Check in the first year, undergoes Regular assessment in the second year and vice versa. 9 schools participated in Dip Check in 2018. Each Dip Check takes around 2 days, resulting in an assessment report with strengths and areas for improvement.  Each school is assessed by a 2- 3 member team. Over 23 assessors were recognised at the function.

Under the Basic program, 10 schools had participated in 2018. Each assessment takes around 2 days, resulting in an assessment report with a compliance score. 21 assessors were recognised at the function.

Under the Saral program, 8 schools had participated in 2018. Each assessment takes around 1 day, resulting in an assessment report with a compliance score.  16 assessors were recognised at the function.

Mr N K Sharan, Vice President, TBExG welcomed the audience. Mr Leslie D’Gama, eminent educationist and Master Trainer, from Kolkata, was the Chief Guest. Besides Mr D’Gama, Mr K P G Nair, Chairman, Kerala Samajam Model School  &  TEEP Executive Committee member and Ms Dipa Sengupta ,educator and former Principal , Narbheram Hansraj English School , gave away the certificates.

In his remarks, Mr D’Gama reiterated that teachers have a vital role to play in education.

Earlier in the day, TBExG organised an interactive session between Mr D’Gama and the principals, vice principals & coordinators of various schools at the Centre of Excellence Auditorium. Over 50 participants attended the interactive session.
